Hi, I'm Nai — Portland-based dancer, storyteller, and proud girl-dad on a mission to bring the magic of books to our babies across the city.

Every pop-up is free, joyful, and full of goodie bags. Girls are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite fairy or ballerina. I'll be there in full ballet attire, ready to read, dance, and celebrate our kids.

Story Time With A Ballerina is community love made visible — because our melanated babies deserve to see themselves in every beautiful space.

How to connect your real Google Calendar to this site

Create a business Gmail. Go to accounts.google.com/signup and create a free Google account — e.g., storytimewithanaai@gmail.com. This becomes your business email and calendar home.

Create a Google Calendar for pop-ups. Open calendar.google.com → on the left, click the + next to "Other calendars" → "Create new calendar." Name it Story Time With A Ballerina.

Make it public. Click the 3 dots next to your new calendar → Settings and sharing → scroll to "Access permissions" → check "Make available to public."

Copy your Calendar ID. In the same settings page, scroll to "Integrate calendar" → copy the Calendar ID (looks like: abc123@group.calendar.google.com).

Give the Calendar ID to your web designer (Ms. Hood Plans) and the calendar embed on this page will be updated to show your real pop-up events. Once connected, just add events to that Google Calendar and they'll appear here automatically!

Adding events: In Google Calendar, click any date → fill in the event name (e.g., "Story Time — Unthank Park"), time, location, and description. Hit Save. It will appear on the website within minutes.
